“44 year old, a middle-aged bike commuter who started riding as an experiment to save money , now you can read his daily commuting ramblings at raysbiking.wordpress.com.“
Why do you ride?
Main reason I ride is because it’s FUN! I commute into work everyday. I get in a great workout, save money on parking and gas, and wear and tear on my car.
Best thing about cycling?
The wind on your face.
What improvements would you like to see for cyclists?
Charlotte, NC needs a better bike infrastructure. They are taking steps in the right direction, but more dedicated bike lanes are needed.
Fondest cycling memory?
Back in July of 2011, I participated in the annual “24 Hours of Booty” charity ride for Cancer. I somehow rode 222 miles in one day. I will NEVER forget that.
Cycling tip?
Have LIGHTS on your bike. BE SEEN!
3 things you’d love the world to know about you?
– I would love to go “car-free” Family commitments won’t allow it right now.
– Would love to open my own Bakery and sell bread all day long.
– One day, I’ll own a motorcycle and ride across the USA.
