Why do you ride?
I like the freedom of it, you can get around quickly and get your exercise without thinking about it.
Best thing about cycling?
On a sunny day there’s nothing like getting out on the bikes and exploring somewhere new in your local area.
What improvements would you like to see for cyclists?
Better education for both cyclists and drivers (all road users in general) and more green cycle paths.
Fondest cycling memory?
There are a few but I think it would be when Chris and I hire bikes on holiday and just ride! One time we hired a tandem on the Scilly Isles which was an interesting experience letting someone else have the controls, but gee it was fun. It was sunny for the most part and then before we knew it it was raining and we were dragging the bike into a cave like shelter while the weather passed and just took in the scenery, a great way to see the island.
Cycling tip?
If you don’t own a bike and live in a city, hire one and go exploring at your own pace, you’ll love it!

– I won my bike (thank you Globe!) and her name is Elliot.
– I love to photograph reflections and street scenes.
– I would love to do a stint somewhere in Europe for a while and totally immerse myself in a new language and culture.
