“29 year old, with his partner, he cycles up Australia documenting the simple living movement via www.simplelives.com.au”
Why do you ride?
Because in cities it’s faster than any other form of transport, because it keeps me fit and because it’s better for the environment.
Best thing about cycling?
It forces you to exercise!
What improvements would you like to see for cyclists?
I’d like to see a mapping device that showed which roads were safe for cyclists in rural areas. Sometimes the only way to find out if a road has a decent shoulder is to cycle along it.
Fondest cycling memory?
The first time I cycled from my house to work and realised I beat the tram. That’s the paradox of pedal-powered transport: you travel slower but you get there faster.
Get decent tyres with kevlar lining so you don’t have to worry about punctures.
3 things you’d love the world to know about you?
– I’m a twin
– My mother was a professional clown
– I’m a hopeless klutz
